Creating Facebook Ads

Facebook provides you with three major steps to create an ad in an organized pattern.

  1. Campaign Set-up: The very first step while running a Facebook ad is to choose the right objective from the campaigns provided by the Facebook ad create tool. There are three campaign objectives from which you can select an appropriate option for your ad.
Campaign Objectives

a. Awareness: This objective is used if you tend to increase your reach among people who might likely be inclined to your brand.

b. Consideration: This objective allows your ad to be optimized for lead, messages, video views, traffic or engagement.

c. Conversion: This objective helps you to create an ad optimized for converting the audience into your potential customer.

2. Ad-set: It is the second step of ad creation. In this step, you can set the audience with various characteristics such as location, gender and age. Ad set also includes setting a budget, bid control and placements of your ad. Here are few steps for creating a general ad set.

Name your Ad set
Choose your Facebook Page to be promoted
Set Location, age and gender of the audience
Select Automatic or manual placement for your ad
Add Ad optimization detail, Budget required for the ad and schedule the start and end date

Now that the ad set is completed, let’s move on to the next step i.e. Ad section.

3. Ad: This is the final step for creating an ad on Facebook. This is where you get to play around with the format and the creatives of your ad.

The basic format of the ad is either a carousel ad, a single image/video ad or a collection ad. However, the availability of the formats depends on the objective that you choose during campaign selection. Other than that, this step allows you to add conversion tracking which includes Facebook Pixel and App event tracking.

Now that you have a fully functional ad, play around with it. Add multiple Ad sets and Ads with multiple creative to test the performance and get the best combination.
